A major earth quake shakes North India.

Waking up with morning tea and newspaper was always nice, Morning alarm irritates me, alright but waking up with shakes and tremors??!!! just OHH MYY GODD. I was sleeping as I'd been working late last night, I felt some vibrations. I woke up and found my bed was shaking, then I looked around and found not only my bed but my Cupboard, TV, and other things, rather say everything in the room was shaking. I jumped from the bed, rushed to the balcony and saw everyone running down to the street. I dint follow them, rather I came back, turned on my computer and log in to indiatimes and started updating my blog about the quake, Crazy, you say??? perhaps. Idiotic??? NOPE!!! I was feeling shakes of the quake while writing blog.
This quake has been measured with a Magnitude of 7.6 by US Geological survey while Indian MeT Dept says it was 6.8, Japanese quake experts put the magnitude at 7.8. Its epicenter was recorded as 92 KMs north east from Islamabad and 105 KMs north west from Srinagar. It struck Pakistan, Afganistan, India and indonasia.
Several regions of india are affected by this disaster. Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi, Punjad, Haryana, Uttranchal, Madhya Pradesh are among them.
there are reports of major damage and Casualties. at least 30 people are dead in J&K, many injured and more than 400 houses are damaged, detailed reports yet to come
Jammu-Srinagar and Srinagar-Muzaffarabad Highways are blocked due to Heavy land slides caused by Tremors.
I think I was the first to inform web community about the quake. it was just scary and just sad. condolences to the people of J&K and other places who lost anything due to this disaster.
